Daddy's Birthday & Universal Studio

We went to universal studio on 27 & 28 Jan 2011... we booked a package with Resort World... 2 days 1 night stay plus Universal Studio at $388.... we stayed at Festive Hotel... The hotel was quite spacious and there's a stair to climb up for kids to sleep there... but too bad, kaylia cant sleep there alone cos we were afraid she will roll down...

Early morning... I wake up to cook Kaylia's porridge and we went for breakfast then we set off... we reach Festive Hotel at about 11am... then we collect our tickets and we set off to Universal Studio... we were quite disappointed cos the park was quite small.... maybe becos we went to Osaka Universal Studio before so we find it small in Singapore... In Osaka, we cant even complete all the rides.... but here, we can go round and went to hotel to check in at 3pm... and came back and we still have time to complete everything... of cos for roller coaster we cant take becos of kaylia... but the rest we had completed everything... Oh ya, one incident happen during queuing up for the Donkey show... an indian lady asked me "can i carry ur daughter?" i was too stunned to react... and yong asked her y u wan to carry her? then i think the lady's mum or sister stop her from doing so... then we quickly turned away and try not to look at her... we were thinking wait u carry kaylia and run away HOW!! mummy will cry like mad lor... haha....

After universal studio, we went for dinner at Michael Hotel... we had spagetti for dinner... can u imagine 2 spagetti cost $58... luckily we have some voucher to offset... haha... then kaylia so turn off... she shit!! so we hurry bring her back to change and bathe... guess wat, her whole dress was stained... and we had a great mess cleaning her and washing her dress.... after a long bathe. we went for a walk... and we went to coffee bean to buy a cake for daddy... but we didnt managed to eat it tat night.... cos we 3 fall asleep at abt 11pm... haha... too tired for anything....

the next morning, we went for our breakfast at 8am.... the breakfast variety wasnt alot... so we only ate awhile and went to room to change to bring kaylia for a morning swim... we met a korean gal 11 yrs old, she cameby and say kaylia is so cute... can i play with her? so i ask her to come down and play.... but kaylia simply enjoying herself in the water.... kicking and splashing the water.... after some time, we went back to room and bathe kaylia... then let her have a short nap... after tat, we check out and went to Vivo City for lunch... initially wanted to shop there... but yong was asked to go back to CP to work... so no choice... i bring kaylia back myself in her pram...

Kaylia started walking!

To my surprise, kaylia started walking without support on CNY eve.. which is 1 Feb 2011... This happen at my mum's place... just before we started to eat our reunion dinner... kaylia was standing at the TV console... then my mum asked her to walk over... and she walk over without support... we were all very surprised... Cos we don't expect her to start walking so fast..

actually she was being ji fa one... cos she saw a boy who is younger than her and he can walk already... so kaylia tried n tried... recently, she kept holding on to our finger and pull us up... cos she wanted us to hold her and walk here and there.... she keep on practising... hopefully, some weeks later, she can walk longer and balance herself well... keep it up, my gal... :)

Mummy stop breastfeeding

Mummy officially stop breastfeeding on 6 Jan 2011... Kaylia's last drank breastmilk was on 8 Jan 2011... Initially i am not used to stop breastfeeding... but i have already cut down to pump once... and found it to be no point cos milk supply reduce by alot... and its not enough for her anymore... so y not just stop... felt a bit guilty to stop... but tried to comfort myself by telling myself kaylia is more than one year old already... so i dun feel so guilty by thinking so... hopefully my effort of breastfeeding her for a year plus didnt go to waste and kaylia will be a healthy baby upon growing up... :)

Naughty Kaylia

Mummy had been too busy to update ur blog for u.... kaylia had been naughty though... always wanted to catch people's attention... and when a stranger caught her attention, she will act shy and hide inside mummy or daddy...

Still remember got once, mummy & daddy brought me to Junction8, in long john silver, when mummy & daddy was not attentive, i pull down the whole tray of other people's left over food on the floor... everybody was looking at me... ~see how naughty i am~

Mummy came and beat my hand... but i m too young to understand...!!

recently, ah ma taught me how to blow my lip for sound and vibration... i learn it in a couple of days.. mummy was so amazed by me cos mummy still dunno how to do it...

i m going to be one year old soon... mummy had been busy preparing a birthday party for me!!

Mummy was not able to capture a good photo of me recently... cos i am too active and all the photos were blurred... but i just like to move about but mummy is always angry with me!!

Kaylia's visit at Cath & Max's Place

Kaylia is progressing... she can crawl very fast already... she had been crawling for weeks.. n mummy is only free now to update... she can crawl in Aug 2010 which she is 8 mths old at then... i realise she really progress when she see older baby or toddler that is already crawling or walking... when we brought her to gymboree, she suddenly able to sit on her own without any support... then when we brought her to little ozone... she starts to crawl faster and faster... tink its really good to bring her to mix around with kids more!!

She is very agressive... tat day when we brought her to Cath's place to visit her and her new born baby... she has a friend who brought a gal who is 20 mths old... kaylia is so agressive and wanted to touch and hug the gal... then she made the gal cry very bitterly... oh my god... i feel so paisey abt it... Kaylia's Progress

Kaylia is progressing well... she is able to flip, crawl backwards & sit stably.. All these started when she is 7 mths old... now she can take her own pacifier & put it into her mouth, if she put the wrong direction, she knows how to turn it back... good gal... but her temper very bad nowadays... she knows how to reject things she dun like... she will yell loudly now.... but on the other hand, she's very cute... tis stage is very fun to play wif.... i believe i will miss her tis age one day...

Recently beginning to feed her porridge... initially she likes... cos something new for her... but as usual, after sometimes, she dun wan to open her mouth again... ~haiz~ mummy been thinking of new food new recipe for her... but its so diff.... cos she so stubborn at times... nvm, i shall try harder...

11 Aug 2010, Wednesday, we took kaylia, my parents & my brother to JB to take family potrait... at least its much cheaper there... cost us abt RM400... think i will consider to bring kaylia there for her baby photoshoot when she turn 1 yr old... i feel their environment not bad, the studio is quite nice as well... shall keep tat in consideration....

Kaylia fell from the Bed!

2 weeks ago, kaylia finally learnt how to flip... having fun in flipping here n there... some babies can flip at abt 4mths +... but kaylia only learnt how to flip in 6mths... but she learnt how to flip from tummy to front at abt 4 mths +... so now when she learnt the technique of flipping, she knows how to flip thru n fro... ok lah... at least easier for us in a way... dun need to scare she dunno how to turn back.... but being actively flipping can cause real trouble oso... yesterday, kaylia roll down from my mum's bed... my mum just left her for less than a min and she roll down... she cried very loudly.... i was in another room pumping... quickly wear my clothes n ran out... i hug her... she cried n cried... it muz be really painful.. cos usually she dun cry so long... n even when cut nails, my mum cut her finger, she dun cry oso... so i guess it muz be really painful... we dunno where she hurt herself... but my mum saw her on the floor, her stomach was facing down.... we hope she never knock on the head... i feel my heart so painful... i coax her and she finally stop crying... then i sayang her and say not painful anymore, she tink tink n cried very loudly again... poor kaylia... but after tat, she fall asleep after crying... then when she wakes up, everything was normal again... she can eat, sleep, play again... tink she forgotten abt her fall... Kaylia... remember 30 JUNE 2010! Kaylia fell from bed!

$2 Trip to Universal Studio Sentosa

Yesterday we brought kaylia to Universal Studio for a walk... since there's a open park entry at $2 for the month of Jun 2010.... so we decided to bring kaylia there... we drive to vivo and took the monorail in... Kaylia was so excited seeing the crowd and the lightings of universal studio.... we were quite surprised tat going in to Universal Studio got a feeling of going abroad like tat... she look here n there... took some photos for her... we were only there for abt near to 2 hrs... as there was nothing much as there was no rides...

Kaylia's First Food

Kaylia started her first semi solid food on 15 June 2010.. meaning to say... kaylia is 6 months old... initially she doesnt know how to eat n mess up her whole face & mouth... now she's getting better after 2 weeks of food... she had tried carrot, pumpkin, brocolli, potato, califlower, banana, pear and apple... her favourite food is pumpkin and apple... she dun like carrot and potato... she always give a yucky face for tat... but i wont like her choose food so must still give her although she dun like... will be trying her on spinach, peach and avocado soon...

Kaylia's Fist Baby Spa & First Swim

Kaylia first baby spa was on 2 Apr 2010 at my mum's place... it was in a big bathtub using her neck float... she abit not used to the float and she was crying after sometime... but it was quite fun for her...

Kaylia first swim was on 15 Jun 2010... she wear her little bee costume... she was so cute... keke... initially i put her legs in the pool... she's still ok... so i let her sit in her float... she felt so funny... at first she was ok... but after abt 5mins... she started to cry... tink the water is too cold for her... cos it was raining before tat... so after so much preparation, she only swam for 15mins... nvm... we shall try next time again...

Busy Mummy

Mummy had been busy for the past few weeks wif moving her office... kaylia had been doing fine except for occasionally been really naughty... by not sleeping, wan mummy to hug hug n etc.... kaylia had tried Nestle Rice Cereal abt one week ago... its really a big mess! tink kaylia still dunno how to swallow food yet... but i will still introduce her wif variety of food from tmr onwards... mummy had taken the rest of the week off to prepare food for kaylia.... tmr daddy n mummy bring me to lacasa for my first swimming session... will update more on swimming and her first solid food...

Kaylia down with a cough & flu

kaylia was having a cough on 23 April 2010, Friday... i heard kaylia coughing once in a while... although its not very serious... but looking at a small baby cough really looks pitiful... so on sat, we brought kaylia to eu yan sen to visit the chinese physician.... i ask the physician how did she get the cough? he only replied me "han"... i dun wan to ask much oso cos i dun think he able to give me any good ans... so he gave us 6 days chinese medicine... twice a day... it was yao fen... n it wasnt easy to feed her... initially i use the pacifier medicator to feed her medicine... but once she taste the medicine, she spit it out.... it was really a chores to feed her chinese medicine... she took the medicine for 3 days n it didnt get better but worse... so mah mah brought her to kidslink to see the doctor... after taking the medicine for a few days, she seems better but still have slight cough... tink virus is flying all over... i was oso infected by kaylia's virus.... cos i m down with a flu n cough as well....

Kaylia's First Overseas Trip: Genting Highlands

On the 16 April 2010, Friday... kaylia was exactly 4 months old, kaylia went to Genting... Kaylia went wif mummy, daddy, gong gong, mah mah & jiu jiu... we book the tour with five star tours and took the coach from golden mile... just alone kaylia got 2 big bags and some kept in mummy & daddy's bag... its only a short trip but yet we need to bring so much things there... cos kaylia needs everything... and mummy went to buy a munchkin duck bathtub for her... so tat kaylia will be able to take good bath at genting... the preparation work to pack kaylia things was not easy... cos scared of forgetting tis n tat... thus, we brought everything there... kaylia was sleeping comfortably on mummy's arms on the way there... kaylia slept throughtout the journey except when it was 4.45am, think kaylia was abit hungry... kaylia cried for awhile.... then mah mah carry her n coax her to sleep... luckily kaylia didnt make a great fuss out of it... cos i dun have hot water to make milk for kaylia... n my breast milk is cold... but normally she dun drink in the midst of the night.... so luckily we manage to coax her until we reach genting at 5.30am... genting wasnt as cold as before... mummy was wearing shorts n it wasnt cold... daddy went to do check-in... as usual we were told tat we have to wait until 1pm then can check-in... so no choice, we sit at the lobby and mummy went to find hot water to make milk for kaylia... luckily a staff at the counter approach us... and saw tat we have a baby with us... so they allowed us to check-in first... all kaylia's blessing, we can get our room so early... after checking in... we went to genting hotel to have breaskfast... we expect the breakfast to be very nice... but it wasnt... there isnt much variety oso... after tat, we went back to our room n take a rest wif kaylia... n of cos we pump her duck bathtub and bath her.... she like the duck so much... keke... after tat, we left kaylia wif gong gong n mah mah... then we went to casino for awhile before we meet them for lunch... for the lunch, we have KFC... then after tat, we bring kaylia go walk walk... mummy brought some makeup remover and etc... then we just do window shopping over there... at genting as there is no fridge in the room, so mummy got to pai he kaylia drinking milk time n pump before kaylia needs to drink... so tat mummy's breastmilk wont be wasted... its really not easy... but we managed to do it... keke... thumbs up, kaylia... for dinner we met at the tim sum chinese restaurant for dinner.... the dinner was still alright... after tat, daddy went to a bar to sit down n watch soccer... so mummy went up to room wif kaylia n mah mah... mah mah change clothes for kaylia... n kaylia was laughing out so loudly... kaylia thot mah mah is playing with her... but mah mah is only changing her clothes... keke.... after tat, kaylia is tired and went to bed... mummy went down to look for daddy... we sat down awhile then mummy went up to room to take a rest first... mummy was too tired... daddy was back awhile later too... we intend to just take a nap but we actually slept until 6am... n was the phone ringing tat wakes up... mah mah call to say kaylia wake up already n wan milk... i immediately jump up n started pumping... haha... i was like a cow... all kaylia's fault as kaylia doesnt wan to latch on... luckily managed to do it.... i just pump awhile and quickly give it to her... normally morning time, i can pump up to 200ml... but i stop when my milk reach abt 150ml... cos even if i pump out, kaylia wont be able to finish n i have to throw as well... so all the 150ml, i gave it all to kaylia... kaylia was so hungry, kaylia drank all the 150ml... then we were to lazy to go out for breaskfast... so we have cup noodle for breakfast... then daddy bath kaylia... mummy was packing all the stuffs, cos it's time we going back soon... before we go back, we went to poney to buy a jacket for kaylia... the jacket is still too big for kaylia but we find it nice so we just buy first... keke... then while waiting for gong gong n mah mah to be back, we ate at the lobby of First World Hotel... the food sucks... really no appetite to eat it lor... n somemore its very expensive... then we went to take a coach back at 2.30pm... initially when kaylia was in the bus, kaylia kept talking... n it was noisy cos the whole bus was so quiet... i was so scared kaylia cant sleep as it was daytime and usually kaylia dun sleep much in daytime... but luckily after some time, kaylia slept throughout... until we reach yongping for dinner... when we reach, everybody went down, left only mummy, daddy and me... cos my diaper was so wet n mummy daddy changing for me... when we wanted to got down, the bus was locked... i was so scared n i kept crying... n tis cause mummy n daddy to have slight quarrel... naughty me!

Kaylia having milk strike

Recently kaylia had been very naughty... she doesnt wan to drink milk... we had a hard time feeding her.... she will still drink after we struggle hard wif her.... but tat was very tedious... cos last weekend, i spend one hour plus feeding her one feed.. it was really tiring... i think she's getting sick of my breastmilk... cos i been feeding her wif breastmilk completely for a month plus... before tis, i still feed her once formula every 2 days... but for tis one month plus... she's drinking breastmilk completely... and she started to get sick of it... we brought her to see her PD while she had her injection... we asked the PD will she have any problem? Doctor says tat kaylia looks very active... dun tink she's not feeling well... n she explained to us tat sometimes at some level, baby will be like tat for a while... after tat, she will be ok.. i just hope she will grow up healthy and fine...

Yesterday, i have a terrible engorgement!!! my both breast were blocked and it was terribly painful... the pain was killing me and i was having a slight fever... my mum was aware of my engorgement frequently... n she asked me to stop breastfeeding since its so painful... but i really hope to endure... until at least 6 months... i really wish to breastfeed her until 1 yr old... but i really dunno i will be able to make it or not... cos having to work and breastfeeding is really not easy... especially in the midst of the night, i have to wake up and pump... n worse of all, i cant sleep at all n still got to work in the morning... when kaylia dun drink milk and my breast becomes like tat, i really wonder is it a signal for me to stop?? but i hope to endure awhile more... i dun wish to give up so easily.... at least today i am feeling better already... hopefully tis wont happen too often.... n today having blocked the whole day n yesterday, my milk supply dropped!! hopefully tomorrow my milk supply will be back to normal... ~prayed~

Kaylia's first laugh

A baby growing up is really interesting.... i feel so glad to be the first to witness kaylia's first laugh... tat was on 6 April 2010 Tuesday... as per normal, we brought her home from my mum's place... then i put her on her jumperoo... although her leg still cant touch the floor... but she already know how to move herself and shake.... then i was playing wif her... and i tapped on the jumperoo, the sound amuse her so much.... she suddenly laugh out... i was so stunned... then daddy heard it n quickly came over as well.... then i tried again... n she laugh again.... so i keep trying... and she laugh throughout.... then i quickly went to take flip and record down... luckily we managed to record it down... it was so amusing... ok, i should go n learn how to upload here... keke... (",)

Mummy back to work!

Mummy was back to work for a week... Kaylia must be feeling y mummy suddenly lost liao cos mummy was wif her everyday since she was born... Kaylia's daily routine will be early morning wake up at 6.45am for milk.. then left home at 7.10am... reach po po house at 7.20am... then mummy accompany her for awhile & mummy went to work at 8.05am... then mummy for the whole week off work at 7+ and only reach home at 7.45 to 8pm... then mummy will only bring kaylia home at 9pm... when kaylia reach home, kaylia will be sleeping at around 10.45-11.15pm... and kaylia will sleep until morning....

Mummy been missing kaylia everyday since going back to work... n mummy was so busy wif work... but mummy promise kaylia, when kaylia starts on semi-solid food, mummy will take a week leave n accompany her....

i really treasure weekend time wif her... cos tat's the only time i have more wif her.... actually for a mother to go back to work, its really not easy... cos mummy will miss baby alot and felt so guilty not seeing her progressing... kaylia already able to stand up her head more firmly nowadays... think not long later her neck will be very firm... so the next stage for her is to flip by herself... but think she too lazy to do so... haha.... i really hope i will be around to see her first crawl, first words... first stand... everything the first time she do... really dun wish to miss any of the followings... hopefully i still be able to cos at least i still have a month of maternity leave and 20+ days of annual leave...

hmmm... wanted to plan a tour and bring kaylia along... thinking of going europe for honeymoon wif kaylia... but daddy says kaylia too young to travel so far n not wif my mum around... think daddy scared too tiring to handle kaylia while travelling on our own... so maybe wan to plan a nearby trip wif my mum going together... maybe can go taiwan.... hmmm... should start planning already....

Last week, we went to toys warehouse sales selling fisher price toys... we bought Jumperoo, baby chair, playgym, and a small toy for kaylia.... it costs us $425.... just on buying toys.... and after thinking for sometime, daddy went back to get the learning home for kaylia... it cost $150... on just buying toys for kaylia, we spent $500+... my mum keep saying cannot always buy so good things for kaylia.... wait next time she grow up, she expect all her things to be branded and expensive... tats quite true... but still, i cant stop myself buying things for her... haha

Today, we bring kaylia to expo for baby fair.... i happen to see MomsRus... and i went to the lady and ask her to teach me how to use the sling... cos i tried to use it on kaylia but i failed... so she teach me and tried kaylia on.... kaylia looks comfortable... i should start to practise more... haha... then we walk about.. i saw nuk products selling at less 30%... its so cheap... but the pp bottle was all sold out.... if not, i would like to get some... then we saw abt tis education system.. and the saleslady talk to us abt it... it was an education program tat parents should read and teach babies at young age... its quite interesting.... but it cost a bomb... the whole set would cost $5K +.... the figure was terrible.... it was nice but it's really too expensive...

Then after tat, we went to carrefour at suntec... we went to buy some groceries, kaylia's pampers and etc... it was quite a fun day bringing kaylia here n there.... although it's quite troublesome bringing her out, but i really enjoy my time wif her... she really bring me laughter... and having her, i feel blissful...

I hope to have more outings wif her on all my weekends... if not, i dun mind staying at home accompanying her... :)

Chinese New Year

Tis is Kaylia's first chinese new year... she still knows nothing abt CNY... hopefully next year she will be enjoying her CNY wif taking her angbaos and said gong xi gong xi to everybody....

Chu Xi, we had our reunion dinner at Yishun 800+... we reserve a table for 10... their package is not expensive, at $298 for 10... then the menu oso quite ok... got lobster combination cold dish and sharkfin soup... so its quite worth it actually... we had our dinner wif my mum n dad, guohao, my grandma n aunt, and my uncle, wife n ah ni... had a nice dinner then...

Chu yi, we brought her to daddy's boss place... his bosses wives likes babies alot... n help me to carry her... they oso tell me some tips abt baby... like her head quite flat at one side n etc... we found out a special tradition at their house is... they gather together to wrap the dumplings... then cook already... everybody sit down n eat dumplings.... the dumplings is quite nice actually.... at one point, i let kaylia sleep at his boss's son bed... then we told his youngest son... i tink ard 4 yrs old.... we told him if she cry can u inform us? he say ok... then we were outside having dumplings... then his son walk out n looking for us... n told me very softly... "she's crying".... haha... he so scared like tat.. tink he scared is he make her cry one... keke... he looks so cute... after his boss's house, we went to my grandma's house at woodlands... then after tat, we went home for a rest... n at night, we have card games at our house...

Chu Er, morning we wake up to tidy the house... then afternoon, we went to my mum's place n we were so tired n restless there.... resting and watching tv... we were so lethagic to go anywhere... then at night we went to fren's house for card games...

Chu San, we went to yong's relatives' place to pai nian... it was a long n tiring day... cos we travel to 3 places... all located at east side... we went out until abt 3+... then went back for a rest.... having a baby n bringing a baby out to pai nian is really a chores... cos got to bring her milk n many things... somemore i need to pump... so really a lot of things to bring out...

Tis year, never bring kaylia to lots of places to pai nian... so didnt collect alot of angbaos for her.... but me n yong decided to keep all her angbaos money in her bank and show her next time...

Tis year, kaylia had collected $400+ angbaos... actually its quite little.. cos i used to remember when i was young, i can collect angbaos up to $600-700... so it's quite little for baby kaylia....

The most beautiful angbaos packet are these threes... The mickey one is from my dad, minnie is from shangjuan and winnie the pooh is from yiping...

Kaylia's Passport Photo

Planning to apply for passport for kaylia... been thinking how to take pictures of her for passport... was told tat can let ppl take... but i scared i dun like... so i tried to take on my own.... at least i can choose the one i like.... initially i was at my mum's place, so i ask her to help me hold kaylia to sit on the sofa so tat i can take photos of her... we tried a few times but kaylia's head was swaying here n there... n she's so irritated by me... then my mum keep saying me.... let her lie down n take lah.... how can i expect a 2 mths old baby to sit... haha... so no choice, i let her lie down n take.... tis is one of the best i chosen for her passport photo... hope i did not make the wrong choice...

Everybody thot my baby is a boy... maybe becos of her bald head... Does kaylia looks more like a gal gal now? i hope she does......

Sleepless nights

Recently kaylia had been a naughty gal... every nite, she doesnt wan to sleep and eyes were wide opened... tis started a week ago... initially she started to sleep only at abt 4am... thereafter, she can dun sleep all the way till 7am... Adeline has been a great mother trying to get used to her sudden change of sleeping behaviour. She has managed to stay up every single night to carry her so as to let me and Kaylia have a comfortable sleep so as to carry out our different activties during the day. Some of our "seniors"did mention that this will be a temporay transistion, no matter whether it is true or not we will endure it together until things goes right. Whatever the case, we knew we have tried our best and most credit have to go to Adeline.
